Job summary

Be Well Narangba in Queensland, Australia, is seeking a permanent, full-time mechanical maintenance/support role to diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, install and test equipment, and lead reliability improvements.

The ideal candidate will read technical drawings, understand hydraulics and pneumatics, and comply with WHS requirements while working independently or in cross-disciplinary teams, including travel to remote project sites.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification at Certificate Diploma, or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant full-time work experience in mechanical maintenance or engineering support roles.
• Essential: strong mechanical diagnostics and fault-finding capability.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• WHS requirements in industrial or construction environments.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel to remote project sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement repair solutions.
• Conduct preventative maintenance programs to minimise downtime.
• Support engineers and supervisors in improving equipment performance and reliability.
• Assist in installation, commissioning, and testing of mechanical systems.
• Interpret and apply technical specifications, drawings, and manuals.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues, risks, and improvements.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting under operation conditions.
• Assist in training junior staff and liaise with suppliers for parts and servicing.
