Job summary
DFP Recruitment is seeking experienced Field Installation Technicians to support a major national infrastructure upgrade project with a Federal Government organisation. This role involves hands-on fieldwork, travel across Australia and working on critical infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include installing, configuring and commissioning weather monitoring equipment, upgrading existing systems and maintaining documentation. Regular travel to regional locations is required.
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent qualifications.
- Experience in technical installations, maintenance or field service.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and commitment to workplace safety.
- Willingness to undertake regular travel, including overnight deployments.
- Experience with solar power, telemetry or communications systems is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure and commission automated weather monitoring equipment.
- Upgrade and replace existing infrastructure and technical systems.
- Conduct site assessments, testing, fault finding and quality checks.
- Maintain accurate installation records and technical documentation.
- Travel to regional and remote locations for project deployments.
