Job summary

DFP Recruitment is seeking experienced Field Installation Technicians to support a major national infrastructure upgrade project with a Federal Government organisation. The role offers long-term contracts across Australia with travel to regional locations and occasional remote deployments.

This hands-on position suits technical professionals who enjoy fieldwork, installation and maintenance of automated equipment, with security clearances and safety practices a priority.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent qualifications, training or experience.
• Experience in technical installations, maintenance or field service.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and commitment to workplace safety.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight deployments.
• Experience with solar power, telemetry or communications systems will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and commission automated weather monitoring equipment.
• Upgrade and replace existing infrastructure and technical systems.
• Conduct site assessments, testing, fault finding and quality checks.
• Maintain accurate installation records and technical documentation.
• Travel to regional and remote locations for project deployments.
