Job summary

DFP Recruitment is seeking experienced Field Installation Technicians to support a major national infrastructure upgrade project with a Federal Government organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for hands‑on technical professionals who enjoy fieldwork, travel and working on critical infrastructure across Australia.

Key responsibilities include installing, configuring and commissioning automated weather monitoring equipment, upgrading existing infrastructure and conducting site assessments,

Qualifications

Certificate III in Electrical/Electronics or equivalent.
Experience in technical installations, maintenance or field service.
Strong troubleshooting skills and commitment to workplace safety.
Experience with solar power, telemetry or communications systems will be highly regarded.
Willingness to undertake regular travel, including overnight and extended remote deployments.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and commission automated weather monitoring equipment.
Upgrade and replace existing infrastructure and technical systems.
Conduct site assessments, testing, fault finding and quality checks.
Maintain accurate installation records and technical documentation.
Travel to regional and remote locations for project deployments.
