Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power, Inc. is seeking a Hydraulic Field Service Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join the Bundaberg team. You will head out to customer sites to diagnose faults, perform hydraulic repairs and servicing, and complete service reports with customers on site.

The role involves travel across the region, autonomy to diagnose problems, and continuous opportunities for hands-on work with a variety of equipment and industries.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining hydraulic systems or circuits.
Current driver’s licence.
Ability to work independently in the field.
Approachable and able to communicate clearly on site.

Responsibilities

Diagnosing faults in hydraulic systems and circuits at customer sites.
Carrying out hydraulic repairs, maintenance and servicing.
Stripping, inspecting, repairing and testing hydraulic components.
Reading hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
Completing installations and breakdown work.
Providing practical updates directly to customers and completing service reports.
Travel across the wider region to sites including Rockhampton, Maryborough and Gympie.

Education

Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining)
