Job summary

Titan Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Field Engineer for an immediate, short-term contract on a major mine rehabilitation project in Australia. The role is site-based, requiring hands-on electrical construction, commissioning and subcontractor coordination with a strong safety focus.

Ideal candidates will have HV/LV distribution experience and a degree in Electrical Engineering, with the ability to manage work packs, documentation and field inspections on a major resources program.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in electrical field engineering, construction or commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of HV and LV power generation and distribution systems.
  • Experience with switchgear, substations, motors and related infrastructure.
  • Proven experience supporting construction, installation and commissioning activities.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and subcontractors on major projects.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality and compliance in heavy industry.
  • Experience preparing construction work packs, drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Full Australian working rights, FIFO willingness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical field engineering support across project construction activities.
  • Coordinate electrical installation and commissioning works.
  • Prepare and review construction work packs, drawings and documentation.
  • Support material management, procurement and field purchases.
  • Verify quantities and maintain project tracking systems.
  • Conduct inspections, testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Review and approve inspection and test plans as required.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and construction contractors onsite.
  • Support stakeholder management and change management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
  • Assist with issue resolution, troubleshooting and technical decisions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and project delivery initiatives.

Electrical Field Engineer | Immediate short-term contract

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Field Engineer to join a globally recognised engineering and project delivery organisation supporting one of Australia's largest and most significant mine rehabilitation projects.

Working within a high-performing project team, you will provide field engineering expertise across electrical construction, commissioning and subcontractor management activities, ensuring works are executed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Role Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Field Engineer to support a major resources rehabilitation project in Northern Australia. This role will see you working closely with construction and project teams, providing technical oversight across electrical installation, commissioning, work packaging, material management and quality assurance activities.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in electrical construction and field engineering, with practical experience across HV and LV power distribution systems, industrial infrastructure and multidisciplinary project environments. This is a hands-on site-based position suited to someone who enjoys solving problems in the field, coordinating contractors and driving project outcomes.

This opportunity is offered on an initial month-to-month contract basis with strong potential for ongoing extensions, supporting a long-term project pipeline.

Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Extensive experience in electrical field engineering, construction or commissioning environments
  • Strong understanding of HV and LV power generation and distribution systems
  • Experience with electrical equipment including switchgear, substations, motors and associated infrastructure
  • Proven experience supporting construction, installation and commissioning activities
  • Experience coordinating contractors and subcontractors on major projects
  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality and compliance requirements within resources or heavy industry environments
  • Experience preparing construction work packs, drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams

  • Willingness to work FIFO rosters as required
Desirable Experience
  • Experience on major mining, resources or industrial projects
  • Rehabilitation, closure or sustaining capital project experience
  • Exposure to commissioning and completions systems
  • Experience with instrumentation and control systems
  • Previous experience working within EPCM or owner-side project environments
  • Knowledge of Management of Change (MOC) processes
  • Experience with construction planning and work packaging activities
  • Exposure to large-scale brownfield project environments
