Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Field Electrician to support Workover operations across our roaming rig fleet in Queensland. You will perform preventative maintenance, assist with breakdowns and troubleshoot rig electrical equipment while travelling between rigs and collaborating with supervisors and maintenance teams.

The role offers exposure to oil & gas environments, an even-time roster, and long-term contract stability with onsite accommodation, meals and uniforms provided.

Qualifications

• Current Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Oil & gas experience advantageous.
• Experience with PLC systems, fault-finding and maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills under pressure.
• Ability to use computer systems for reporting and maintenance tracking.
• Valid Open Manual Driver’s Licence.
• Commitment to working safely in a high-risk environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative and scheduled maintenance on electrical systems.
• Assisting with breakdowns and supporting critical repairs.
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding on rig electrical equipment.
• Travelling between Workover rigs to provide electrical support as required.
• Working closely with supervisors, rig crews and maintenance teams.
• Ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance procedures.
• Contributing to a high-performing team environment.
