Job summary

Ventia seeks a Qualified Electrical Technician to support critical telecommunications infrastructure across Toowoomba and surrounding areas, including Dalby and Roma. You will travel between sites to maintain power/solar systems, generators, HVAC and battery infrastructure, with autonomy to plan your workload and respond to faults.

Ideal candidates hold a QLD Electrical licence, CPR/First Aid, and a Construction White Card, with strong fault finding, communication and comfort with digital tools

Qualifications

• Current QLD Electrical licence.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Construction White Card.
• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Confident working autonomously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Maximo.
• HVAC qualification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Maintain telecommunications power systems and solar power infrastructure.
• Operate standby generators and HVAC equipment.
• Manage battery systems and related infrastructure.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and fault response.
• Carry out repairs, upgrades and network support activities.
• Travel between Toowoomba region sites and surrounding areas.
