Job summary

The Bureau of Meteorology is seeking a Project Delivery Technician to lead the technical delivery of the observing networks sustainment and upgrade program. The role sits within the Infrastructure Delivery team and spans Australia, supporting assets such as automatic weather stations, flood monitoring sensors and other specialised instrumentation.

You will apply advanced practical skills in instrumentation, configuration, installation, troubleshooting and commissioning, and contribute to project

Qualifications

• Experience with instrumentation and field service activities.
• Ability to plan, configure and install observing equipment.
• Knowledge of commissioning, troubleshooting and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the observing networks sustainment and upgrade program.
• Apply instrumentation, configuration, installation, troubleshooting and commissioning skills.
• Contribute to project planning and risk management.
• Undertake workshop preparation and field work to support upgrades and sustainment nationally.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and operational teams for safe, timely delivery.
