Unitywater is seeking a Contracts Inspector Civil to oversee contractor-delivered water and wastewater infrastructure projects in our growing region. Based on site, you will monitor construction activities, perform inspections and ensure works meet designs, standards and safety requirements.

You will review drawings and ITPs, assess variations and progress payments, support defect inspections and project handover, and capture accurate as-constructed data while building strong relationships with

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing contractors and coordinating field construction activities.
• Knowledge of civil construction specs, standards and QA processes.
• Understanding of engineering principles, documentation and delivery practices.
• Experience delivering capital infrastructure projects, particularly water/wastewater.
• Current C Class Driver Licence.

Responsabilités

• Inspect and monitor contractor-delivered civil works across water and wastewater projects.
• Ensure construction activities comply with designs, specifications, standards and legislative requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections, audits, testing and witness hold points throughout project delivery.
• Review drawings, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and project documentation to support quality project outcomes.
• Assess and provide input on contractor claims, variations and progress payments.
• Support defect inspections, commissioning activities and project handover processes.
• Ensure accurate as-constructed information and survey data is captured and recorded.
• Build positive relationships with contractors, consultants, stakeholders and the community.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery and contractor performance.
