Job summary

FMS Group is seeking an experienced Boilermaker for maintenance, repair and breakdown work on rope machines, draglines and shovels across Bowen Basin sites.

You will join a high-performing team with roving and shutdown opportunities, a 4-day roster and a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Current Coal Board Medical and MR Licence are required, along with Standard 11 and relevant qualifications.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on heavy mining machinery.
• Experience on Rope Machine, Dragline and/or Shovel.
• Current Coal Board Medical.
• Standard 11 Statement of Attainment.
• Current MR Licence.
• Confined Space, Gas Test Atmospheres and Working at Heights.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to liaise with management, clients and site personnel.
• Uncompromising commitment to safety.

Are you an experienced Boilermaker with proven experience working on Rope Machines, Draglines and Shovels? If so, we want you to join our team!

FMS is continuing to grow, and we are seeking skilled Boilermakers to join our high-performing team across the Bowen Basin.

With a strong focus on safety and quality, you will utilise your extensive knowledge and experience in the maintenance, repair and breakdown of heavy mining equipment. This is a great opportunity to work for a company that values its people and offers a variety of work across multiple sites.

No two days are the same, with maintenance, breakdown, roving and shutdown work available.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

• Relevant Boilermaker Trade Qualification
• Proven experience working on heavy mining machinery (essential)
• Rope Machine, Dragline and/or Shovel experience
• Current Coal Board Medical
• Standard 11 Statement of Attainment
• Current MR Licence (essential)
• Confined Space, Gas Test Atmospheres and Working at Heights
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to liaise effectively with management, clients and site personnel
• An uncompromising commitment to safety
• Ability to meet all site and client requirements
• Ability to successfully pass a weld test
