Job summary

Attorney‑General’s Department – Official in South Australia seeks a Senior Enforcement Officer within Consumer and Business Services. You’ll lead complex enforcement operations, mentor investigators, and work with law enforcement and government partners to protect the community and legitimate businesses.

This field‑based role involves court appearances, evidence handling, joint taskforces, and travel across SA.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance and enforcement operations, including joint taskforce activities.
• Represent Consumer and Business Services in court and provide credible witness testimony.
• Issue notices, expiations and other enforcement actions.
• Conduct interviews, manage evidence and review documentation.
• Prepare quality reports, disciplinary documentation and prosecution briefs.
• Ensure evidence is collected, labelled, stored, transported and disposed of in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Supporting, mentoring and guiding investigators and inspectors.
• You know how to navigate sensitive matters with sound judgement, conduct interviews that uncover the facts and build evidence-based cases that stand up to scrutiny.
