Job summary

RFC Tech Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fibre Optic Technician for a full-time site-based role across the Northern Beaches and Greater Sydney. You will take ownership of your work, deliver high-quality results and collaborate with a small, supportive team.

Responsibilities include installing, terminating and testing fibre, splicing, fault-finding and repairs, reading plans, and thorough documentation. NSW-based candidates with a current Australian driver’s licence and White Card are preferred.

RFCTech is looking for an experienced Fibre Optic Technician to join our small, established team.

We’re seeking someone with genuine hands‑on fibre optic experience who is confident working independently, but equally comfortable working alongside others when required. This is a practical, site‑based role for someone who can take ownership of their work, solve problems and consistently deliver a high‑quality result.

Experience working on NBN infrastructure is highly regarded.

About the role

Your work will include:

• Installing, terminating and testing fibre optic cabling
• Fibre splicing, fault­-finding and repairs
• Reading plans and following project specifications
• Completing accurate job records, test results and documentation
• Working independently across allocated jobs and client sites
• Collaborating with other technicians and trades when required

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• NBN experience preferred

Relevant telecommunications registrations, endorsements and industry qualifications will be highly regarded.
