Job summary

AARNet is seeking a Telecommunications Fibre Designer to support the design and delivery of new fibre network builds, customer connections and network relocations. You will work with project teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You'll bring a solid understanding of telecommunications fibre networks and the ability to interpret engineering and civil construction documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in telecommunications fibre networks and ability to interpret engineering/civil construction documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and undertake field inspections and network scoping.
• Develop and draft optical fibre network solutions for new builds and connections.
• Design fibre network projects in accordance with legislation and standards.
• Prepare construction cost estimates and quotations.
• Facilitate workshops with clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Telstra and nbn network teams.
