Job summary

Uniti Group is seeking an AutoCAD Network Designer to design fibre networks for Broadacre, ICN, and MDU developments in Australia. You will contribute to developing and enhancing design guidelines while delivering accurate BoMs and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.

The role requires AutoCAD and DAD proficiency, strong communication, and collaboration with contractors and project managers to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient network designs.

Qualifications

• AutoCAD expertise with 2+ years in advanced AutoCAD
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office
• Telco Experience: Previously in telecommunications is beneficial but not essential

Responsibilities

• Design fibre networks in AutoCAD and DAD, including detailed splicing layouts
• Develop and maintain design documentation for pit, pipe and fibre standards with strict QC
• Review and enhance design standards to improve network flexibility, performance and cost efficiency
• Design fibre networks for MDUs and create pit and pipe networks using AutoCAD
• Generate accurate BoMs for Broadacre developments and MDUs
• Provide regular updates on design progress and maintain meticulous project documentation
• Ensure compliance with document control procedures, collaborating with project managers
• Address customer issues in DAD and other Telco portals with up-to-date records
• Collaborate with contractors to ensure effective implementation of design plans
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design guidelines and processes
