The City of Mandurah Festivals and Events team is seeking a talented individual to fill a casual role of Events Support Officer. You will assist in delivering major festivals, sport and recreation events that boost local business, community engagement and visitation to Mandurah’s City Centre.

Ideal candidates bring experience in major event management, outdoor public event delivery, creative input for City events, and strong administration skills. Some weekend and after-hours work is required.

Formación

• Experience in major event management or similar discipline.
• Previous experience with large scale event delivery in an outdoor public space.
• Experience in inputting creative ideas into City events.
• Working knowledge and experience of administration and operational implementation of major and complex events.
• Previous experience in the planning and delivery of event and entertainment programs and services, preferably with the coordination of special events.
• A flexible approach to working hours, as the position requires some weekend and after-hours work.
• Commitment to learning and understanding local government procedures and policies.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
