Job summary

Workfast is seeking hardworking Fencing Labourers to join our Townsville team in Queensland. If you enjoy physical outdoor work and are comfortable on tools, you’ll contribute to busy fencing projects and be paid hourly with penalties.

We value reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to pass medical and drug/alcohol screening. Current White Card and a valid Australian driver’s licence are required, with a steady stream of local Townsville projects and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fencing, construction, or general physical labouring.
• High physical fitness and the ability to work in demanding outdoor conditions in Townsville.
• Current Queensland Construction Induction (White Card).
• Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• A strong, reliable work ethic and a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Assisting tradespeople with the installation of various fencing types (including Colorbond, timber, chain wire, and security fencing)
• Site preparation, measuring, and marking out fence lines
• Digging post holes, mixing concrete, and setting posts
• Heavy manual handling and moving materials safely around the site
• Using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area, following all WHS procedures
