Job summary

Australian Security Fencing Pty is seeking a reliable Fence Installer/Technician to join our hands-on team. You’ll be on site, installing, servicing and maintaining security fencing across diverse sites, sometimes traveling away from home.

If you’re practical, enjoy solving problems, can work independently or in a team, and value safety and quality, we want to hear from you. Training can be provided for the right person.

Qualifications

• Experience in fencing, construction, security systems or a similar trade.
• Practical, reliable and hands-on with attention to safety and quality.
• Able to solve problems, work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• HR licence is a bonus and readiness for inductions on site via tablet/phone.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain security fencing and related systems across sites.
• Troubleshoot gate problems or bollard projects and read engineering drawings.
• Travel to various worksites and adapt to different challenges.

We’re on the hunt for a reliable, hands-on Fence Installer / Technician to join our awesome team.

If you’re the type of person who likes getting stuck in, isn’t afraid of a hard day’s work and can think on your feet when things don’t quite go to plan, we want to hear from you!

This isn’t your average 9–5 office job. You’ll be out on site, working on a variety of security fencing projects, meeting new people, tackling different challenges and occasionally hitting the road for work away from home.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be installing, servicing and maintaining security fencing and related systems across a range of sites.

One day you might be installing fencing, the next you could be troubleshooting a gate problem or working on bollard a project somewhere new.

No two days are exactly the same!

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience in fencing, construction, security systems or a similar trade
• Is practical, reliable and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty
• Is a go-getter who enjoys solving problems and finding solutions
• Can work independently but also knows how to be part of a team
• Takes safety and quality seriously
• Is happy to travel and work away from home when required
• Is physically fit and capable of undertaking hands‑on work
• Holds a current driver’s licence (HR licence is a bonus!)
• Can confidently use a phone or iPad for online inductions and site requirements
• Has a clean criminal record and can successfully pass a police check
• EWP ticket over 11 metres
• Working at Heights ticket
• Excavator operating experience
• Experience reading site plans and engineering drawings
