We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Casual Disability Support Worker to provide one-to-one assistance to an adult NDIS participant in Nunawading, VIC.
This role involves providing practical, person-centred support with everyday activities, community participation and maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
The participant benefits from workers who are calm, respectful, consistent and able to follow established support plans, routines and workplace procedures.
Hours
Current shifts are:
Monday: 12:00 pm–6:00 pm
Thursday: 12:00 pm–6:00 pm
Approximately 12 hours per week, with the possibility of additional casual shifts as required.
Duties
Duties may include:
Assisting with everyday living activities
Supporting community access and participation
Accompanying the participant to appointments, activities and outings
Providing practical and emotional support
Following established support plans and routines
Supporting the participant to make choices and maintain independence
Observing and reporting changes or concerns
Completing basic progress notes and required documentation
Following workplace procedures relating to incidents, safety and participant wellbeing
The role does not involve developing behaviour support plans, providing clinical treatment or making independent clinical decisions.

Comfortable providing one-to-one disability support
Able to follow instructions, support plans and established procedures
Confident communicating respectfully with participants and the wider support team
LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity affirming
Able to maintain appropriate professional boundaries
Comfortable completing basic support documentation
Previous disability, community services or mental health support experience is desirable.
Experience supporting neurodiverse or LGBTQIA+ participants will be highly regarded.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current Police Check
Current First Aid and CPR
Current Victorian driver's licence
Reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
Australian working rights
A relevant qualification in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or Mental Health is desirable but not essential.
