Job summary

Ford Australia is seeking a Lead Software Test Planner to ensure the quality and timely delivery of software features for major global vehicle programs. You will lead test plan development, coordinate resources, and drive engineering excellence across running changes, vehicle launches, and OTA updates.

You will report to the integration supervisor at the Little River site, with a 4‑day-from-home arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3–5+ years in automotive systems engineering, software testing or product development.
• Experience in test planning, execution tracking and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of test plans and scheduling to align with vehicle program milestones.
• Coordinate resource allocation across test vehicles, labs, tools and testers.
• Mentor Feature Testers and manage external engineering partners to meet program needs.
• Oversee regression testing for running changes, launches and OTA updates.
• Represent the test planning team in cross‑functional forums and ensure global standards.
