Job summary

Collarts (Australian College of the Arts) invites applications for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor – Fashion at its Waterloo campus. You will lead teaching across Fashion offerings, including marketing, business, design and styling, while shaping curricula and supporting student success.

You bring experience in higher education leadership, scholarship/industry engagement, and a strong industry network. The role offers hybrid work with campus and travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching at undergraduate (Level B/C/D) and postgraduate (Level D) level.
• Experience coordinating courses or units within higher education.
• Student-centred approach with a proven ability to support learner success.
• Developing (Level B), established (Level C), or nationally recognised (Level D) scholarship/industry engagement.
• Understanding of higher education quality assurance, governance and financial processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Contemporary professional expertise in Fashion or related discipline.
• AQF Level 8 qualification in a relevant field; Level C or D for higher levels.
• Current Working With Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching across Fashion programs (Marketing, Business, Design, Styling).
• Develop, quality-assure and deliver contemporary, industry-informed curricula.
• Collaborate with staff on teaching, curriculum design and student success.
• Provide leadership at course/program level and mentor junior colleagues.
• Engage with industry and foster partnerships to support students.
