Job summary

Baiada Group seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at the Gilbert & Light Regional Council Farms. The role focuses on budgeting, planning and coordinating preventative and emergency maintenance across breeder farms, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

You will supervise site-based teams, drive continuous improvement, and uphold Baiada standards including ISO, HACCP and Good Manufacturing Policy while adhering to biosecurity requirements.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications in a related discipline.
• Legally permitted to work in Australia (citizen or permanent resident).
• Knowledge of poultry farming and operations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to make quick, correct decisions on the job.
• Ability to set up plant/equipment to meet efficiency targets.
• Experience with maintenance schedules (weekly/daily/hourly).
• Strong planning and project management for maintenance workforce.
• Well-developed problem-solving and preventative action skills.
• Biosecurity policy: no birds or poultry at home.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting, planning and implementation of preventative and emergency maintenance.
• Procurement and installation of plant, equipment, buildings and infrastructure on breeder farms.
• Ensure work on site adheres to budgets, standards and systems.
• Supervise maintenance work across farm sites.
• Maintain Baiada standards including Minimum Operating Standards, ISO, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Policy, Workplace Injury Management.
