Job summary

JBS Australia in southern New South Wales invites applications for a Farm Hand to join the Prime City Farm team, supporting both the farm and the feedlot with general farming duties. The role is full-time and on-site, with a starting wage of $30.50 per hour.

On-site accommodation may be available for suitable applicants, and uniform and PPE are provided to ensure safety and productivity. You’ll work with irrigation and machinery, collaborate with a small team, and adapt hours during busy periods

Qualifications

• Experience operating farming machinery.
• Irrigation experience is desirable.
• Mechanical aptitude is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Flexible hours during busy periods.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic.

Responsibilities

• Support farm and feedlot with general farming duties.
• Operate machinery as required to maintain production.

About Us

Located in Yanco, 45km north-west of Griffith in southern NSW, the JBS Prime City Feedlot is a 35,000 head capacity feedlot and a major supplier to the JBS Riverina Beef processing facility. Employing approximately 35 team members, Prime City Feedlot has a strong reputation for producing premium quality grain-fed beef. The 6,225 ha of dryland and irrigation farm onsite at Prime City supplies the grain, silage and hay required for the cattle in the feedlot.

About the Role

Our JBS Prime City Farm is currently recruiting a Farm Hand to join the team in a full-time position. This position will see you supporting both the farm and the feedlot with all general faming duties.

About You

• Machinery operation experience
• Irrigation experience desirable but not essential
• Mechanical aptitude advantageous
• Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
• Flexibility with working hours during busy periods
• High levels of self-motivation, initiative and enthusiasm
