Refuge Victoria is seeking a Family Violence Support Worker to assist in coordinating and delivering practical supports for women and children in refuge settings across Melbourne. The role involves intake, liaising with community services, and providing emotional support, with duties including after-hours response and driving clients to appointments.

Casual roles and Rotating shifts are required, with supervision from team leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering services to women and children facing Family Violence.
• Diploma in Community Services or equivalent would be highly regarded.
• Knowledge of MARAM framework is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Complete comprehensive intake and induction for clients.
• Coordinate access to community services and supports.
• Provide practical and emotional support to clients, including transport to appointments.
• Respond to after-hours needs as required.
• Maintain client information and support materials.
• Attend client meetings with case workers to implement plans.
• Prepare accommodation and maintenance tasks for refuges and manage supplies.
• Manage calendars for room hire and equipment use.

Formation

Diploma in Community Services

Bachelor study in Social Work (desirable)
