Job summary

Good Shepherd is seeking a Family Services Case Manager in Victoria on a maximum term contract (0.8 FTE). You will work with children, young people and families facing vulnerability, delivering evidence-based, family-centred case management to strengthen parenting capacity and safety.

You will collaborate with schools and community services, document case notes precisely, and provide culturally safe support to Aboriginal families and culturally and linguistically diverse communities, while

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology or a related human services discipline.
• Experience providing casework and group work support to families with complex needs.
• Knowledge of relevant child and family services legislation, policies and practice frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored, family-centred case management to children, young people and families experiencing vulnerability or complex needs.
• Strengthen parenting skills, confidence and capacity through evidence-based support.
• Promote safety, wellbeing, stability and development of children and young people.
• Ensure children’s needs and voices remain central to assessment, planning and support.
• Support families through major life transitions, crises and periods of increased risk.
• Collaborate with schools, childcare services and other service providers to achieve positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate case notes, client records and required reports.
• Deliver culturally safe and inclusive support to Aboriginal families and CLD communities.
