Job summary

The Mallee Sexual Assault Unit-Mallee Domestic Violence Service in Mildura, VIC, invites applications for a fixed-term maternity leave role within The Orange Door. You will respond to family violence cases, support child wellbeing, and work with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care.

You will undertake risk assessments, safety planning, and ensure clients receive timely referrals while delivering short-term counselling and information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Social Work or equivalent; Diploma in Community Service acceptable.
• Experience in family violence or victim-survivor support is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety planning and risk assessment frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk and safety assessments for clients.
• Develop and review safety plans with clients.
• Provide referrals and resource information.
• Deliver short-term supportive counselling where appropriate.
• Collaborate with partner services and community agencies.
