Job summary

Social Futures invites applications for a Program Worker within the Family Connect in Schools team, embedded in a Catholic school community in Nowra. You will collaborate with families to understand needs, connect them with appropriate supports, and contribute to a holistic early intervention approach.

Ideal candidates have tertiary qualifications in social work or related field, experience with children and families, and strong assessment and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in social work, psychology, social science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with children, young people and families, including vulnerability.
• Knowledge of child protection, mandatory reporting and risk assessment.
• Experience engaging hesitant families and working across schools/services.

Responsibilities

• Support families within a school community, bridging school and service systems.
• Provide assessment, case planning and practical support for families.
• Navigate referrals and coordinate services with school and agencies.
• Build trust with children, families, teachers and wellbeing teams.
