Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with families, school staff, government agencies and community services to improve student attendance, behaviour, engagement and learning outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, teacher aides and specialist staff to identify student needs and connect families with appropriate health, therapeutic, developmental and other support services, including the NDIS.
• Establish and maintain networks with external service providers and community partners to coordinate support for children and families, including school transitions and early intervention.
• Strengthen the capacity of schools and families to support student learning, development and wellbeing, respond to complex needs, and improve engagement in education.
• Use data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support strategies, maintain accurate case and activity records, and contribute to collaborative family support networks.
