CP Plating PTY Ltd in Brisbane is seeking a seasoned Factory Manager to oversee daily operations across zinc plating and powder coating, ensuring production targets, quality standards and regulatory compliance.

You will report to the Owner and General Manager, manage scheduling, maintenance, supplier coordination and safety programs, and lead a team to optimise efficiency while safeguarding the environment and health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience managing manufacturing operations in metal finishing is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of WHS and environmental compliance.
• Ability to schedule production and labour resources to meet demand.

Factory Manager-Zinc Plating & Powder Coating

We are a specialised manufacturing business providing zinc plating, powder coating and other surface finishing services. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Factory Manager to oversee daily operations and support the Owner and General Manager in achieving production, quality, safety and environmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Owner and General Manager in meeting production, quality, safety and environmental targets

Report directly to the Owner and General Manager, and collaborate with staff and management as required

Plan and schedule production and labour resources to meet demand and efficiency requirements

Provide coverage for key operational roles when staff are absent

Respond to customer enquiries regarding production turnaround times, quotations and technical specifications

Coordinate raw material supply with vendors to meet production, quality, safety and environmental needs

Monitor vendor chemical analysis and quality reports, and ensure recommendations are implemented

Oversee routine and non-routine maintenance and housekeeping of the site and equipment

Document and update process changes related to production, quality, safety and environmental compliance

Conduct regular staff meetings and communication sessions on production, quality, safety and environmental matters

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including:

Workplace Health & Safety

Workplace Rehabilitation

Environmental Regulations & Approvals

QLD Fire & Emergency Services inspections

Ensure service contracts for OHC, forklifts and water treatment systems are completed

Ensure the premises operates in accordance with the Lease Agreement

Maintain site security systems, including alarms, CCTV and keylock systems

Train staff in plating techniques where appropriate

Attend training sessions as required

Operate forklifts to move goods and equipment

Use hand tools to complete daily operational tasks
