Job summary

Veriu Group is seeking an experienced Facilities & Property Manager to join our Melbourne Head Office. You will oversee facilities and property management across our national hotel portfolio, collaborating with operational leaders, landlords, suppliers and senior decision-makers to protect and enhance assets while driving smarter ways of working.

You will own the maintenance platform, manage contractor performance and ensure compliance across the portfolio, while identifying cost-saving

• Experience in managing property assets and facilities across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day property and facilities management for a national hotel portfolio.
• Own and manage the group’s maintenance platform; log, track, report and close requests.
• Oversee contractor performance, service delivery, compliance, insurance and supplier relations.
• Manage lifecycle of service agreements, renewals, reviews and contract compliance.
• Review outgoings with landlords/Owners Corporations; identify savings and support budgeting.

Facilities & Property Manager

Due to an internal promotion, we’re on the hunt for an experienced Facilities & Property Manager to join our Melbourne Head Office. This isn’t a traditional facilities role. You’ll be a key member of our Property & Development team, helping shape the performance, sustainability and long-term success of a national portfolio of hotels. You’ll work directly with operational leaders, external stakeholders, landlords, suppliers and senior decision-makers to protect and enhance our assets while identifying smarter ways of doing business. What You'll Be Responsible For

You’ll take ownership of facilities and property management across our national portfolio, including:

• Lead day-to-day property and facilities management across the Veriu Group portfolio of hotels.
• Own and manage the Group's maintenance management platform, ensuring all maintenance requests are logged, tracked, reported on and closed out effectively.
• Manage contractor performance, service delivery, compliance, insurance requirements and supplier relationships across all service categories.
• Oversee the lifecycle of property-related service agreements, including renewals, reviews, contract compliance and supplier rationalisation opportunities.
• Review and manage landlord and Owners Corporation outgoings, challenge excessive charges, identify savings opportunities and support budgeting, forecasting and reconciliation processes.
• Ensure statutory servicing, compliance obligations and essential services maintenance are completed and appropriately documented across the portfolio.
• Manage relationships with landlords, Owners Corporations and strata managers, ensuring building obligations, approvals and property issues are resolved effectively.
• Monitor maintenance expenditure, review quotations, identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure value-for-money outcomes across the property portfolio.
• Conduct property inspections, identify asset risks and maintenance priorities, and implement preventative maintenance initiatives to improve asset performance.
• Develop and maintain property reporting, monitor maintenance and contractor performance, and provide visibility of key property risks, costs and operational trends
• Management of business insurance claims
