Job summary

BGIS is seeking a seasoned Facilities Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance and compliance of a state-wide portfolio across Victoria. You will work with client and BGIS teams to ensure assets are managed proactively, safely and in line with standards.

This newly established account offers scope to bring structure, consistency and a calm, solutions-focused approach while leveraging technology and data to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Services or a related field.
• Experience managing property portfolios with asset lifecycle and capital planning knowledge.
• Strong understanding of statutory maintenance and Victorian regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing contractors, coordinating site works, and delivering maintenance programs.
• High proficiency with digital systems and data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations including planned and reactive maintenance and site coordination.
• Ensure compliance with statutory maintenance and local regulations.
• Maintain asset registers and lifecycle data within BGIS Connect.
• Coordinate major and minor works and capital projects with Asset Management.
• Identify asset risks and opportunities for upgrades and improvements.
• Support safety measures, emergency systems and building compliance.
• Act as main contact for occupants, stakeholders and service providers.
• Coordinate contractor inductions, permits, access and safety documentation.
• Use digital tools to manage work orders and inform asset decisions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, accruals and performance reporting.
• Recommend operational improvements and sustainability initiatives.
