The Property Unit supports UTS by providing and maintaining safe, sustainable and effective learning, research and work environments across the University's property portfolio.
The team manages a diverse and complex property portfolio across multiple precincts and satellite facilities. It works collaboratively with faculties, divisions, service partners, contractors and consultants to deliver safe, sustainable, compliant and reliable facilities for staff, students and the wider UTS community.
We are seeking an experienced and solutions driven Facilities Manager to oversee the safe, sustainable and efficient operation of a complex portfolio of university buildings, infrastructure and grounds. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, you will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, building engineering services, asset lifecycle activities and projects. You will balance immediate operational requirements with longer-term asset planning, ensuring facilities remain safe, compliant, cost-effective and fit for purpose. Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers, you will also contribute to building optimisation and environmental initiatives that improve asset performance, reduce operating costs and support the University's strategic objectives.
You are a collaborative and solutions-focused facilities professional who combines strong technical knowledge with sound judgement, commercial awareness and a customer-centred approach. You are confident managing complex operations, competing priorities, contractors and stakeholder expectations without compromising safety, quality or compliance. You take a proactive and strategic approach to maintenance, asset lifecycle planning, risk management and continuous improvement, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Base Salary Range: $140,965 - $143,080 plus 17% superannuation.
This is a full-time continuing position.
