Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to support our Residential Aged Care Home and Seniors Living Units at Mercy Place Parkville. You will ensure buildings, grounds and facilities remain safe, functional and well-maintained for residents, staff and visitors.

You will perform repairs and preventative maintenance, coordinate contractors, maintain records, and contribute to a collaborative, resident-centered team.

Qualifications

• Trade-based qualification or 3+ years' commercial maintenance experience.
• Experience in maintaining buildings, grounds, plant and equipment.
• Familiarity with WHS/OHS standards for aged care environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance, on-going repairs and preventative servicing of buildings, plant, equipment and furniture
• Liaise with and oversee contractors, including site access and inductions
• Identify, report and implement opportunities for improvement across the facility
• Assist in identifying and rectifying WHS/OHS issues to maintain a safe environment
