Job summary

Morling College is seeking a Maintenance and Facilities Assistant to maintain grounds, assist with cleaning, and handle basic repairs. The role supports event setups and room preparations, working with the Property and Maintenance Manager to plan projects and resources.

The position is permanent part-time (2–4 days/week) with a weekly schedule arranged before commencement, and pay above award level. On-campus accommodation options may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Current driver license is required.
• Experience in building maintenance or a related trade is expected.
• Serves with a helpful, service-oriented approach.
• Maintains high standards of workmanship and outcomes.
• Proactive teamwork and collaboration are essential.
• Basic IT literacy is required for systems and records.
• Demonstrated Christian character and involvement with a local evangelical church.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, tidiness and safety of grounds, indoor/outdoor areas.
• Perform cleaning tasks (e.g., aircon filters, gutters) as required.
• Assist with building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Prepare and reset rooms for functions and events.
• Collaborate with Property and Maintenance Manager on projects and resources.
• Work schedule is part-time, 2–4 days per week, with a fixed weekly rhythm.
• Remuneration is above award level and commensurate with experience.
