Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council is seeking a Facilities Compliance and Projects Officer to join the Facilities Management team. This permanent, full-time role focuses on keeping Main Works Depot and Administration Centre facilities safe, compliant and fit for purpose, coordinating inspections and managing budgets.

You will work between office and operational environments, liaising with contractors and stakeholders, while delivering practical safety and compliance outcomes across key assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in building services, facility safety and compliance.
• Project management capability with demonstrated outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate statutory and compliance inspections for assets.
• Review inspection recommendations and manage corrective actions.
• Handle quotes and budgets within your area of responsibility.
• Assist with environmental management activities and incident response.
• Provide technical advice on repairs and contribute to reconstruction projects.
