Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council invites applications for an administrative professional in the Development Assessment and Certification Department. You will provide high‑quality admin support, handle correspondence, respond to inquiries, and coordinate meetings alongside Planners, Building Surveyors and Engineers.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV or above in Business Administration or equivalent demonstrated administration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and respond to inquiries from community, elected representatives and staff.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support including correspondence, reports and records management.
  • Process and review applications and certificates with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and produce accurate minutes and action records.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance service delivery and customer experience.

Job description

Join our Development Assessment and Certification Department and play a key role in supporting the delivery of services that help shape Lake Macquarie's future. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused administration professional to work with a collaborative team while contributing to exceptional service delivery and continuous improvement.
Working alongside Planners, Building Surveyors and Engineers, you'll provide high-quality administrative support, help streamline processes and create positive experiences for our customers and stakeholders

Your key focus areas are;

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and respond to enquiries from the community, elected representatives and employees in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide high-quality administrative support including correspondence, reports, records management and document preparation
  • Process and review applications and certificates through electronic lodgement systems with a high degree of accuracy
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and produce accurate minutes and action records
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance service delivery and the customer experience
  • Maintain confidential information and records in accordance with Council policies and procedures
