Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a reliable Facilities Cleaner to maintain clean, safe and welcoming environments across Council buildings and facilities. You will perform cleaning duties, operate cleaning equipment, monitor supplies and report issues, working both independently and in a team to uphold high standards for staff and visitors.

Role may involve opportunities within our Street Cleaning team, and a Criminal History Check is required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation while using cleaning equipment and chemical safely
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently, follow schedules and complete tasks efficiently
• Safety focused with the ability to identify hazard and risks on the workplace

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services across a range of Council buildings and facilities
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment
• Monitor supplies and report maintenance or safety concerns
• Work independently and as part of a team to deliver high standards of cleanliness and customer service
• Contribute to delivering quality outcomes for the community across Council facilities
