Job summary

CDC Data Centres is hiring a Facilities Cleaner to uphold exceptional cleanliness across our secure data centre facilities at the Eastern Creek campus. This permanent, full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, with earlier starts available.

You will join a supportive team and receive hands-on training, with on-site parking and a focus on safety and professional presentation. Prior experience in commercial cleaning and comfort working in a secure environment are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial cleaning or similar roles such as aged care, housekeeping or hospitality.
• Health assessment required for all applicants to support workplace safety.
• Familiarity with working in secure environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation inside and outside the data centre.
• Inspect site regularly and report defects to appropriate teams.
• Perform routine office maintenance (bin emptying, vacuuming, restocking supplies).
• Ensure restroom hygiene and replenishment of supplies.
• Collaborate with Operations and contractors for routine maintenance and participate in HSE meetings.

About the role:

Facilities Cleaners play a crucial role in upholding the impeccable appearance of CDC facilities, both inside and out. Their responsibilities are vital in supporting the CDC Team's efforts to provide a top-notch customer experience and ensure the continuous, secure functioning of the facilities.

Other duties include:

• Ensure the data centre maintains an exceptional level of cleanliness and presentation.
• Regularly inspect the site and facilities, promptly reporting any identified defects.
• Perform various office maintenance tasks, such as emptying bins, vacuuming, and restocking supplies.
• Take responsibility for restroom hygiene, including mopping, replenishing paper towels and rolls, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the Operations team, liaise with contractors for routine maintenance, report incidents, and participate in HSE meetings, contributing to a safe and well-maintained environment.

We're looking for a reliable and experienced cleaner to join our team. If you have worked as a commercial cleaner or in a similar role, such as aged care, housekeeping or hospitality, you may be a great fit for this position. Our facilities are large and highly secure, so we need someone comfortable working in this type of environment.

All applicants will need to complete a health assessment as part of our commitment to workplace health and safety. This is a general health check, and a report will be shared with the hiring team to ensure we can support you in the role.

This position is ideal for someone looking to move away from shift work, casual roles, or night shifts. There’s no weekend or after-hours work, and you'll be part of a friendly, supportive team. You’ll work alongside other cleaners, and the wider facilities team.

Essential:

• Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
