Glencore Australia invites applications for a Facilities Attendant at Mount Isa Mines in Queensland. This hands-on role maintains clean, safe facilities and supports a busy PPE laundering operation essential for workforce protection.

The position follows a 7 days on, 7 days off roster, offering work-life balance and long-term stability in a major mining operation. Reporting to the Services Superintendent, you’ll operate laundry equipment, manage daily workloads, and ensure PPE is clean and

Qualifications

• Current manual driver’s licence is required.
• Current Forklift or MR licence, or the ability and willingness to obtain one (we will assist).
• Experience in cleaning, laundry, facilities or industrial services is desirable but not essential.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive physical tasks (lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 30 kg).
• Strong communication and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsabilités

• Clean facilities, equipment and work areas to high housekeeping standards.
• Collect, sort, launder and return up to 4,500 PPE items per shift.
• Safely operate industrial washing machines, dryers and laundry equipment.
• Collaborate with Facilities Services to meet daily targets and service requirements.
• Operate licensed mobile equipment where permitted and safe.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, bending and lifting for extended periods.
• Identify and report equipment and maintenance issues promptly.
• Complete duties with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
