Job summary

Mount Isa Mines is seeking a Facilities Attendant to maintain site facilities and support a busy industrial laundry handling thousands of PPE items per shift. You will operate washing equipment, assist with housekeeping and ensure PPE is clean and compliant for daily use.

The role suits someone active with a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and the ability to work both independently and in a team within a fast-paced mining environment. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Current manual driver's licence.
• Current Forklift or MR licence, or the ability to obtain one (we assist).
• Previous cleaning, laundry, facilities or industrial services experience is desirable but not essential.
• Sound understanding of OH&S requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to perform repetitive physical tasks up to 30kg.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and attention-to-detail, with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Clean facilities, equipment and work areas with high housekeeping standards.
• Operate industrial washing machines, dryers and laundry equipment.
• Collect, sort, launder and return PPE as required.
• Collaborate with Facilities Services to meet daily targets and service needs.
• Spot and, if licensed, operate mobile equipment safely.
• Complete physically demanding tasks including standing, bending, lifting and carrying up to 30kg.
• Identify and report equipment or maintenance issues to the Facilities Supervisor.
• Perform duties safely, efficiently and on schedule with a focus on safety.
