Job summary

Lutheran Services in Queensland is seeking a Facilities & Asset Manager to lead capital works, refurbishment projects and multi-site maintenance across aged care, retirement living and community services.

You will manage budgets, coordinate with external consultants, ensure safety compliance, and drive improvements that create safe, welcoming environments for residents and staff. This hybrid role offers a structured path to strategic growth within a values-driven organisation.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Project Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in capital works or asset management across maintenance to large capital works, preferably in aged care or retirement living or health system.
• Unit and apartment refurbishment experience is highly regarded.
• Strong knowledge of trades and services (electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
• Working with external various consultants to ensure compliant project delivery
• Previous experience working across multiple sites concurrently and working within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and project reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and proficient in IT systems.
• Current White Card and unrestricted QLD Driver’s Licence.
• Ability to maintain a satisfactory National Police Check

• Deliver unit and apartment refurbishments of various sizes and work with the retirement living frameworks for delivery
• Deliver maintenance related projects and at times work with consultants to resolve complex issues
• Contribute to preventative maintenance programs that keep our environments safe, resilient and efficient in conjunction with internal facilities representitives.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and building regulations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors and consultants to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Provide clear reporting and insights to senior leadership on best approach to each project.
• Advise on new, acquisition and live project environments

Facilities & Asset Manager – Retirement Living- Create Great Places to Work and Live

Location: Support Centre, Milton, QueenslandEmployment Type: Permanent, Full TimeRemuneration: Circa $130K (Subject to experience) + Superannuation + Car Allowance + Salary Packaging

Based at our Support Centre, with properties across Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, South Burnett and Greater Brisbane that are managed by the whole team, and regular site visits will be required. Applicants outside of Brisbane will be considered.

This role has flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.

About the Role:

We’re uplifting our aged care, retirement living and community services portfolio across 20+ sites predominantly in South-East Queensland, while expanding our reach through an ambitious 5-year strategic growth plan. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of that transformation – shaping places that empower residents, inspire staff and embody our commitment to excellence.

As a member of the Property & Assets team, working closely with key stakeholders, we look after three main functions being minor capital works and maintenance, larger refurbishment capital works projects and unit and apartment refurbishments. This role will also assists in facilities management capex related works (as needed to assist the facilities lead.

You will:
