Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires tertiary qualification in building/property management or equivalent experience.
• Experience across diverse facilities (aquatics, libraries, childcare) is preferred.
• Strong leadership and staff development capabilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks for property/asset management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Facilities Management unit to oversee operations and maintenance across Council properties.
• Develop programs and service levels for scheduled maintenance and asset management planning.
• Manage contracts, procurement, and contractor performance; oversee capital projects as requested.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, statutory certifications, and safe work practices.
• Triage and prioritise maintenance requests via the council help desk during business hours.
• Maintain records and data to support decision-making; collaborate with stakeholders.
