Job summary

Morson Edge Australia is seeking a façade engineer to design, analyse and document façade solutions across a range of building types in Melbourne. You will work with architects, builders and consultants to deliver compliant, buildable solutions.

The role offers exposure to diverse façade projects, close collaboration with senior engineers, and opportunities to contribute to the growth of the Melbourne team.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills and ability to interpret drawings and prepare engineering documentation.
• Clear communication and collaboration within a small team.
• Experience with façade systems and design principles preferred.
• Australian Standards knowledge relevant to façade engineering is advantageous.

An established engineering consultancy with a strong reputation in the façade space is looking to grow its Melbourne team. With its head office based in Sydney, the business offers the backing of an experienced wider team while continuing to develop its Melbourne presence. This is an opportunity to join a smaller office where you can take on meaningful project responsibility, work closely with senior engineers and play a part in the team's growth.

About the Role

Working across a range of façade engineering projects, you will be involved in the design, documentation and delivery of façade solutions across various building types.

• Undertaking façade design, analysis and engineering calculations.
• Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, drawings and specifications.
• Working with architects, builders, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Assisting with façade inspections, investigations and technical reporting where required.
• Coordinating with senior engineers to deliver practical, compliant and buildable solutions.

About You

• A degree in Civil, Structural or Façade Engineering.
• Around 2–6 years' experience in façade engineering, ideally within a consultancy environment.
• Experience with façade systems, design principles and relevant Australian Standards.
• Strong technical skills, with the ability to interpret drawings and prepare engineering documentation.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively within a small team.
• A proactive approach and an interest in developing your technical capabilities.
