Job summary

SACYR in Australia is seeking a Design Manager – Façades to lead the façade design from concept to construction, coordinating with the Project Director and design team to meet programme, budget and client goals.

You will manage consultants and subcontractors, resolve technical issues, ensure NCC and standards compliance, and guide design reviews to deliver high-quality aesthetic and performance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven at least 5 years of experience as a Design Manager in a similar role.
• Relevant qualification in Architecture.
• Spanish language skills highly regarded (but not mandatory).

Responsibilities

• Lead the façade design development from concept through to construction, ensuring alignment with scope, programme and budgets.
• Coordinate façade consultants, designers and subcontractors to deliver detailed design documentation.
• Resolve design discrepancies and clashes, ensuring compliance with NCC and Australian Standards.
• Interface between Design and Delivery Teams, communicating risks and design intent.
• Lead design reviews, workshops and value engineering to maintain performance and cost targets.
• Coordinate mock-ups, testing regimes and site inspections to validate outcomes.
