Job summary

Aircomp Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Emu Plains, NSW. You will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated and welded components that meet our stringent standards and customer specifications.

As a skilled tradesperson, you will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with proficiency in MIG, TIG and stick welding and the ability to prepare materials and inspect finished work.

Qualifications

• Current welding certification or qualification (Australian standard or equivalent).
• Experience in fabrication and welding in an industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and precision.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Physical capability to perform the demands of the role, including standing, lifting and working in various positions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Aircomp Pty Ltd is a respected operator in the Trucking sector, specializing in installing blowers to prime mover trucks, As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated and welded components that meet our stringent standards and customer specifications. This role is integral to our production success and requires a skilled tradesperson who can work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

Can execute fabrication and welding projects

Operate welding equipment using various processes, including MIG, TIG and stick welding techniques

Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding and shaping steel and other metals

Assemble and fabricate steel components

Inspect finished welds and fabricated products to ensure they meet quality standards and safety requirements

Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order and report any maintenance issues
