Job summary

Aircomp Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Emu Plains, NSW. You will be responsible for producing high-quality fabricated and welded components that meet our stringent standards and customer specifications.

As a skilled tradesperson, you will work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, with proficiency in MIG, TIG and stick welding and the ability to prepare materials and inspect finished work.

Qualifications

• Current welding certification or qualification (Australian standard or equivalent).
• Experience in fabrication and welding in an industrial environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and precision.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards and regulations.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Physical capability to perform the demands of the role, including standing, lifting and working in various positions.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Can execute fabrication and welding projects.
• Operate welding equipment using various processes, including MIG, TIG and stick welding techniques.
• Prepare materials for welding by cutting, grinding and shaping steel and other metals.
• Assemble and fabricate steel components.
• Inspect finished welds and fabricated products to ensure they meet quality standards and safety requirements.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order and report any maintenance issues.
• Follow all health and safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
• Document work completed and maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on projects.
