Job summary

DI Sign Group, a well established Melbourne based custom fabrication and illuminated signage business, is experiencing high growth. Based in our modern manufacturing facility in Mordialloc, you will join a diverse, talented, close-knit team with an excellent culture, focused on producing the highest quality in the Signage industry.

As a Fabricator you will use MIG & TIG welding on mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium, read technical drawings, build signage, pylons and fixtures, and

Qualifications

• Experience (at least 3-5 years) as a Fabricator.
• Experience in the signage industry an advantage.
• Ability to read and work with technical drawings.
• Strong sense of accountability and commitment to quality outcomes.
• Genuine interest in custom signage manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive.

Responsibilities

• MIG & TIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
• Building and preparing a wide variety of signage, structures and pylons.
• Creating jigs and fixtures.
• Skilled use of hand and power tools.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Liaise with supervisor to achieve daily production requirements.
• Opportunity to learn CNC operation, LED wiring and general sign manufacturing.

With a high profile, national client base and demand for quality manufacturing and high end finishes, we are looking for an experienced Fabricator to join our team.

Based in our modern manufacturing facility in Mordialloc, you will join a diverse, talented, close-knit team with an excellent culture, focused on producing the highest quality in the Signage industry.

The Role

As a Fabricator you will utilise your existing skills and experience, working closely with our highly skilled team of tradespeople and management.

The role is permanent full-time, with some overtime available. Day Shift only with hours flexible for the right candidate.

In this dynamic and integral role, you will be focusing on:

• MIG & TIG welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
• Building and preparing a wide variety of signage, structures and pylons
• Creating jigs and fixtures
• Skilled use of hand and power tools
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Liaise with supervisor to achieve daily production requirements
• Opportunity to learn various areas of the business including CNC operation, LED wiring and general sign manufacturing

Your Skills and Experience:

• Coming from a similar role, you will bring a combination of the following skills and experience:
• Experience (at least 3-5 years) as a Fabricator
• Experience in the signage industry an advantage
• Ability to read and work with technical drawings
• A strong sense of accountability and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
• Genuine interest in custom signage manufacturing
• Strong attention to detail and proactive
• Forklift licence preferred but not required
