Job summary

Hazeldenes is seeking a skilled Tradesperson to perform welding and fabrication across the site, reading detailed drawings and installing metal structures. You will support maintenance breakdowns, maintain welding equipment, and ensure safety and quality in all work.

The role includes mentoring apprentices and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. Based in Bendigo, this on-site position requires hands-on fabrication, teamwork with Engineering and Production, and adherence to OH&S

Qualifications

• Able to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication blueprints.
• Work with MIG, TIG and Stick welding to fabricate/repair metal structures.
• Maintain safety, quality, durability and asset integrity in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks across the facility using MIG, TIG and Stick techniques.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and site specifications.
• Carry out structural modifications and safety guard installations.
• Support urgent breakdowns with fabrication/repair work with Maintenance teams.
• Maintain and repair welding equipment and tools to ensure safe operation.
• Record jobs, materials used, and time spent in site systems.
• Mentor trades assistants and apprentices and provide hands-on training.
• Participate in toolbox talks, shutdowns, and continuous improvement initiatives.
