Qualifications

• 1-2 years prior external audit experience in an Australian accounting practice.
• Completed or started Chartered Accountants Program through CAANZ or CPA Australia or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
• Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent English skills, both written and oral.
• Experience with not-for-profit, banking, building and construction, transport, professional services or wine industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist with external financial audits and reporting of audit results.
• Develop understanding of diverse client businesses and associated risks.
• Assess and review internal controls and document client processes across key business cycles.
• Perform substantive audit procedures to verify assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditure.
• Draft engagement letters, strategy reports, and audit reports for review.
• Some intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
