Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager based in Mackay, Queensland. The role covers end-to-end delivery across large or complex projects with direct client interface and strong emphasis on time, cost, and quality targets.

You will oversee budgets, resourcing, and stakeholder coordination, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development efforts as part of the team.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years' experience from a client-side project management consultancy.
• Relevant tertiary qualification related to Construction Project Management.
• Experience delivering end-to-end project management in Mackay region.

Our team is looking for project manager/Senior project manager to be based in Mackay, Queensland. The responsibilities include:

• To lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects.
• To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
• Manage all aspects of the project and both the internal team and consultant team to deliver quality outputs on time.
• Manage commissions, cashflows, budgets plus assist with resourcing and superintendent recommendations.
• Training and development of junior staff (transfer of skills to graduates and assistant PMs).
• To assist with development of budgets, will manage complex stakeholder arrangements, manage and assess tenders, co-ordinate contractors and consultants and will get to take ownership of the projects

If you join our team, you will be responsible for end-to-end service delivery of complex, and interesting projects (with support from internal senior management). You will be able to see how projects are identified, assessed, planned, and then taken through the preliminary design, detailed design, tender, construction and close out phases. You will also have the opportunity to assist with client relationship management and business generation as part of the wider team.

• Manage builder procurement, tendering, and contract negotiations.
• Act as Superintendent under relevant building contracts.
• Manage the design process for architectural, structural, and services.
• Drive program, budget, and quality control to meet the company's high standards.
• Establish and implement best-in-class delivery systems and processes.
• Build strong industry relationships with builders, consultants, and key stakeholders.
• 3 to 7years' experience from a client-side project management consultancy.
• Relevant Tertiary Qualification related to Construction Project Management
• Planning and managing quality, safety, health and environment issues on projects.
• Risk identification and management.
• Managing the change control process.
• Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports.
